Dear Colin come join us in Republican France! Too many Garde Mobiles I grant you, but the battles are fascinating. The battles are fluid, with attack and defence available for both sides. I am collecting the French and Prussians for the North East Front. Fighting over the the future killing grounds of the Western Front. Helion's book "The Somme 1870-1871, The winter campaign in Picardy" by Quintin Barry is a great read and convinced me to game THIS part of the war of 1870.
I'm excited that you might be excited enough to paint up some more!
