Still by no means finished but it's getting there with a little more work and tidying up. The ravellins need much more doing to them and I need to do the gate for the entrance to the fortress.
Of course I will have to think about a glacis and covered way......mmm no I won't bother for now even though I know how to make them.

That has the makings of a magnificent centre piece.
ReplyDeleteI really like this Colin. Will follow with great interest. It will look spectacular.
ReplyDeleteAlways fancied a Vauban fort. Where did you get it or is it self made?
Thansk Graham. I bought it years ago in instalments from Magister Millitum. They still do it iirc.
DeleteThanks Guy. The stonework’s not quite worked out as I had planned but the definition on the resin castings isn’t always all that great for the method I used to work as effectively as I would like. A little bit of dark wash here and there perhaps but I did a white wash over the grey as one normally sees paler mortar between the stones, well in my neck of the woods anyway.
DeleteGraham I mean 😱
DeleteJust had a look at their site and sorely tempted. With those 22 ers from John on the horizon I just don't know if I should be diverted again. I will see how you get on.
ReplyDeleteIs that all? Slacker! ;~)
ReplyDeleteAnd all I managed was a single Russian house. Bah.
ReplyDeleteThanks looks a bit on the large side of huge!
