With Saturday and Battleground looming I've just finished the final unit for the French army. I'm not 100% happy with them but they'll do from a few feet away. They represent a squadron of the Gendarmes de France. Part of Louis XIV Maison du Roi but not if that makes sense? It doesn't to me but they are French. I had two Gendarmes flags but only one squadron and couldn't make my mind up so thought I would use both and make them a composite squadron from two different companies of Gendarmes.

The pride of France in all their glory. They will be brigaded with the rest of my Maison du Roi cavalry; 3 squadrons of Gardes du Corps and a squadron each of the Grenadiers a Cheval and the Kings Musketeers.
A couple of limbers and teams plus an artillery battery from Hanover and its all done. I hope I don't need a bigger car!
