Dr. BRYDEN, THE "SOLE SURVIVOR" OF THE KABUL GARRISON, 1st Afghan War

Immortalised in Lady Butler's painting, the good doctor was actually one of well over 100 "Sole survivors" from the ill-fated Kabul garrison and it's retreat through the Kyber Pass. ( see Here) Nontheless this figure (from Studio Miniatures) captures the exhausted doctor on his arrival outside Jellalabad. I have no immediate plans for the 1st Afghan War as a project but it would make a great vehicle for Sharpe Practice. In the meantime this figure will find a home amongst the Sikh Wars collection.

  1. The pose reminds me of a drink on one of those mechanical bull things! Nice job on him though.
